Burns

Burns are the fourth most common type of trauma around the world. The highest survival and best results have previously been seen with the use of biological tissue. These dressings are often made of skin from pigs or deceased people. ​

Wound healing

About 1-2% of all people will suffer from a hard-to-heal wound during their lifetime. The cost of hard-to-heal wounds is estimated at about 4% of the entire healthcare budget. Around the world, the amputation rate is estimated at 57%, while the survival 3 years after a transplant is only 50%.
